There are two options offered by Econoloft, the 'Full Conversion' and the 'Shell Conversion'. This enables you, should you choose depending on your own ability level of DIY, to get involved in the creation of your new space. How brave are you?
Option 1 - Full loft conversion
This is where we take care of the entire process from start to finish. No need to get your hands dirty. Let Econoloft survey, design and build your new loft space.
For example the Full Conversion process includes:
- Technical Survey
- Design and Full Working Drawings complying to Building Regulations
- Structural Calculations
- Planning Permission if necessary
- All submissions to Local Authorities
- Full Structure inc. Floor, Stairs, Windows, Supports, Walls
- Insulation
- Skirting, Doors, Architraves etc
- Electrics and Plumbing as required
- Plaster Finish and ready to decorate
Option 2 - Shell Conversion
The Shell Conversion is for those who would like to contribute to the creation of their new loft space. You can choose what level this is and of course you will save money using this option!
Typically the Shell Conversion includes:
- Technical Survey Plans and Design as Option 1 (Full Loft Conversion)
- Floor, Structural Work and Supports
- Stairs, Timber Work for Stud Walls, etc
- Windows, Roof Work, External Finishings
- Part build will include as much of the above as required
So perhaps you are skilled at plastering or plumbing and you would like to use these skills yourself. We will work with you, whatever your level of skill, to ensure that the final result looks as good as it possibly can!
