Conversion options

Deciding to convert your loft is a big decision and the choices may seem quite daunting but we can guide you through the process, from start to finish, as we have done with hundreds of satisfied clients over the last 30 years. Although your conversion will be subject to Local Authority permission (please see FAQ’s) basically the options are a Velux™ only conversion or a Dormer conversion with a number of Velux™ windows.

Econoloft is also able to offer a shell conversion meaning we carry out as much or as little of the work as you require.

Full conversion

• Technical survey
• Design and full working drawings complying to building regulations
• Structural calculations
• Planning permission if necessary
• All submissions to local authorities
• Independent Building Inspectors for building regulation approval
• Full structure inc. floor, stairs, windows, supports, walls
• Insulation
• Skirting, doors, architraves etc
• Electrics and plumbing as required
• Plaster finish and ready to decorate

Shell conversion

• Technical survey plans and design as full conversion
• Floor, structural work and supports
• Stairs, timber work for stud walls, etc
• Windows, roof work, external finishing’s
• Part build will include as much of the above as required
